Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reyn Godrigueze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sampson Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sampson Shain!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shain throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Godrigueze counters by clinching up.
Godrigueze doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Shain can't find room to land a body shot as Godrigueze controls the action.
We've been informed that Shain has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Godrigueze lands a hook that snaps the head of Shain backwards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Godrigueze is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shain's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shain's back!

Godrigueze seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Shain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Godrigueze. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reyn Godrigueze tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
