PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Panayiotis Stavros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Panayiotis Stavros!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Law!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stavros lands a head shot.
Stavros looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Stavros throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Law.
Stavros connects with a looping right hand.
Law takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Stavros connects with a nice looking jab.
Stavros lands a nice shot that snaps Law's head back.
Stavros connects with a body shot that sends Law's belly button to the back.
Stavros keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Law shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stavros as he jumps to the side.
Stavros throwing a counter right hand but Law manages to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stavros connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Stavros throws a nice outside leg kick.
Law shoots in looking for a takedown but Stavros manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Law's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stavros was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Panayiotis Stavros has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Law.

Law shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stavros's guard.

Stavros wriggles free and stands up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Stavros.
Stavros cracks Law with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Law is rocked!

It looks like Damien Law has been cut.
Stavros closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Law! Stavros dives in looking to finish! Law is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Panayiotis Stavros!
