The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Potter clinches up with Saromenko and pushes him back against the cage.
Potter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Potter is trying to pull guard but Saromenko turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Potter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Saromenko walks away with a smile on his face. Potter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Saromenko circles away from the clinch attempt.

Saromenko takes the fight into the clinch.
Potter is trying to pull guard but Saromenko turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grady Potter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Potter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Saromenko is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Potter to the mat. Potter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Saromenko is standing up over Potter. Potter looks to escape but Saromenko dives into side control.

Potter is looking to get back to his feet here but Saromenko is keeping cool and he's managed to take Potter's back.
Potter is trying to stand back up.
