The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammouche with a hook.
Hammouche throws a right and a left that both miss.
Good exchange - Meida coming out on top.
Meida jabs Hammouche right on the nose. Hammouche blinks but takes it well.
Hammouche misses with a wild combination.
Meida avoids a punch combination nicely.
Meida cracks Hammouche with a good jab.
Hammouche swinging wildly here.
Meida will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Meida showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hammouche.
Meida listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Thiago Meida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hammouche throws a hook to the side of Meida's head but Meida sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It seemed like Meida was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Meida takes a jab right on the kisser.
Meida looks to throw the jab but Hammouche is out of range.
Hammouche misses with a low kick as Meida jumps back.
Hammouche swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hammouche finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hammouche has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Meida ducks under a wild hook from Hammouche.
Hammouche misses with a looping left.
Meida moves away from the strike by Hammouche.
Hammouche throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hammouche swings for the body but Meida moves out of range.
Hammouche takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Meida scores with a nice strike.
Meida tests Hammouche's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hammouche takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Meida thows a left - swing and a miss!
A big right from Hammouche misses.
Hammouche takes one to the chin there.
Hammouche throws the left hand but Meida avoids the punch easily.
Meida slips under a jab.
Meida lands a nice shot that snaps Hammouche's head back.

Hammouche is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Meida engages and cracks Hammouche with a massive lead left hook - Hammouche tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Meida is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
