The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parikh throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Barnes wants to clinch
letting Parikh counter with a right hand.
Barnes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parikh paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Barnes has Parikh up against the cage in a clinch.

Barnes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Some bone on bone action there as Barnes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Barnes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Barnes is rocked!

It looks like Jae Barnes has been cut.
Barnes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Barnes loses concentration momentarily and Parikh pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Barnes crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Parikh finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
