Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veikko Pilvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pilvi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Faded kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilvi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wayne was well out of range. Poor timing from Pilvi.
Wayne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pilvi moves away.
It seemed like Pilvi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

I was talking to Wayne's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wayne closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pilvi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wayne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wayne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
