The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power swings for the body but Xueijin moves out of range.
Power lands a glancing blow to the side of Xueijin's head.
Power dips to his left and cracks Xueijin with an uppercut!
Power closes this distance looking for a takedown but Xueijin circles away.
Power wants to clinch.
Power shoots in but no luck this time.
Power misses with a takedown attempt - Xueijin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A solid leg kick lands there for Xueijin.
No luck for Power with that takedown attempt.
A combination from Power does no damage.
Power throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Xueijin's waist but Xueijin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Power off to one side.
James Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Xueijin throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Power counter with a right hand.

Power throws a hook but Xueijin blocks it.
Power will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hong Xueijin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Power is breathing heavily.
Power throws a combination that misses
and Xueijin counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Power to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Xueijin!
