Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lennox Zelaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danilo Pichardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zelaya might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Turn Down For What. Pichardo has chosen "Dueño De La Conec" by Jhon Gotty as his entrance music. Danilo Pichardo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zelaya clinches up with Pichardo and pushes him back against the cage.
Pichardo has had enough of the clinch but Zelaya keeps him there for the moment.

Pichardo tries to break the clinch but Zelaya is controlling the position.
Pichardo tries for a takedown but Zelaya manages to get underhooks.
Pichardo is pressed up against the cage. Zelaya has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pichardo down to the mat. Pichardo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Zelaya is looking to improve his position but Pichardo isn't that keen on the idea.

Pichardo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zelaya gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pichardo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zelaya defends well.
Zelaya has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pichardo is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Pichardo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Zelaya throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pichardo.

Pichardo throws a sloppy head kick and Zelaya moves out of range easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Zelaya misses its target.
Zelaya feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A less than humble Lennox Zelaya misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
