Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hale Tommasson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alez Calypse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommasson comes into the arena with Go to sleep blaring out of the sound system. Calypse is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Prodigy - Spitfire. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tommasson misses with a double jab.
Tommasson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Calypse circles away quickly and effectively.
Calypse closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tommasson circles away.

Tommasson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

No joy there for Tommasson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tommasson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Calypse. Calypse circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hale Tommasson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tommasson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Calypse backs up against the cage.
Tommasson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tommasson throws a body kick that misses.
Calypse shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tommasson but Tommasson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tommasson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Calypse drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Calypse is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tommasson wants to control but Calypse passes easily into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Calypse has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tommasson defend it? Calypse steps over the head and cranks it - Tommasson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Calypse!
