The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brice tries to close the distance and clinch up but Widaca swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Widaca connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Adrian Brice has been cut.

Widaca gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Widaca manages to break the clinch.
Brice tries to clinch but Widaca moves away
enabling Widaca to counter with a crisp jab.
Brice walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Brice takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Brice is rocked!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brice.

Widaca forces Brice back against the cage and clinches.

Widaca lands with a left to the head.
Brice wants to break the clinch but can't.

Widaca's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brice has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Widaca finds it's way round the side to connect with Brice's head.

Widaca catches Brice napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Brice to the canvas!
Brice is still in real trouble! Can Widaca finish him?

Brice is working an open guard so Widaca takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Brice seems to have recovered his senses.
Brice needs to keep his hands up - Widaca had a free shot at his head there.
Brice misses with a takedown attempt
and Widaca counters with a left and a right that stings Brice.
John Widaca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Brice.
Widaca connects with a body shot.
John Widaca is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Widaca uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brice has time to react.
Brice has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brice there as he acknowledges the shot.

Widaca has managed to clinch.
Widaca creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Brice with a big uppercut! Brice tries to clinch up but Widaca pushes him back against the cage and lands another moster strike that crumples Brice to the mat! Brice covers up and Widaca unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
