Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood wants to clinch but Diggler slips to the side

and Diggler counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Diggler.

Diggler drops back looking for a leg! Wood is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wood manages to kick Diggler off! Diggler jumps back into Wood's guard.
Diggler throws a big right hand that misses.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diggler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wood accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wood is pushing down on Diggler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Diggler is fighting to maintain full guard but Wood has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've been hearing good reports from Diggler's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Wood felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
