The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styles darts in and clinches Welch up against the cage.
Styles with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Styles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Styles fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Welch, pushing him back against the cage.
Welch could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Welch pulls guard successfully.

Welch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Welch is looking to stand up but Styles isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
