Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Knight has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Peter Strange's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Strange!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Knight!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Strange really is a fat lump.
Strange looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Strange drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Knight gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Knight has picked Strange up - he's going for a ride! Knight dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Knight is trying to work for a kimura but Strange is defending well.
Knight thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Knight moves into full mount! Strange won't be happy about that!
Strange bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Knight scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Knight fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Strange to the ground. Knight is now in Strange's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Knight is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Let's hope that Knight has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Knight's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Knight gets to his feet. Strange looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Knight moves into the clinch successfully.

Knight pulls Strange into guard.
Knight wants to stand and escape but Strange is having none of it.
Knight looking for a sweep. Not yet Knight, not yet.
Knight has his hands on Strange's head, controlling the position.

Knight uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Knight fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Strange sprawls well initially but Knight persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knight thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Strange's head.
Knight controlling the action here.

Knight is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Strange defends it well.
Knight trying to control the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Knight seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Still in half guard, Knight seems content to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Knight shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Knight tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Strange.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Strange is defending against the submission attempts here by Knight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Knight dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Knight closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Strange avoids the elbow strike from Knight, against the cage.

Knight successfully pulls guard.
Knight pulls Strange in close to his closed guard and prevents Strange from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Strange manages to get himself to full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Knight decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Strange, up you get!

Knight throws a jab but it's blocked by Strange.

Knight clinches up with Strange and pushes him back against the cage.
Strange wants a takedown but no success here.
Knight pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Knight decides to pull guard.
Knight bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Strange's guard.

Knight is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Knight postures up.
Knight has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Knight is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Knight wants to pass the guard but Strange is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Knight is stalling in the full guard.
Knight is looking to work some ground and pound but Strange has wrist control.
Knight tries to free his leg and advance position but Strange is retaining full guard.
Knight is looking to stand up but Strange won't let him.
Knight is pushing down on Strange's leg trying to pass to half guard. Strange is fighting to maintain full guard but Knight has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Strange tries to get to full guard but Knight has control of the leg.
Knight wants to stand up but Strange is controlling the position.
Knight looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Knight thows a huge punch but Strange dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Knight in particular looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Knight lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Strange has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Strange and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Strange appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Knight throws a head kick but Strange moves out of range.

Knight closes the distance and clinches.
Strange blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Stalling in the clinch from Knight.

Knight has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Strange regains guard immediately.
Knight works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Knight takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Knight missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Knight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Strange's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Knight shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Strange manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Knight is stalling in the full guard.

Knight stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Knight fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Strange, pushing him back against the cage.

Knight looking to hit a scissor sweep but Strange is one step ahead there.

Strange trying to control but Knight is working from the bottom.
Knight is adopting a defensive guard.

Knight looking for a guillotine here but Strange defends easily.

Knight wriggles free and stands up.
James Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Strange tries to keep at a distance but Knight has taken the fight into the clinch.
Our sources have told us that Strange has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Knight manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Knight wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Strange drops back looking for a leg! Knight is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Knight manages to kick Strange off! Strange jumps back into Knight's guard.

Strange is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Knight is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Knight has escaped and now he's on top!

Knight in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Knight content to stall in guard here.
Knight loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Knight not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Knight trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Strange has a closed guard, preventing Knight from standing up.
Knight is pushing down on Strange's leg trying to pass to half guard. Strange is fighting to maintain full guard but Knight has managed to sneak the leg through.
Peter Strange has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Knight is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

James Knight comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Knight has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
