Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dustin Assad!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jagr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Assad to the mat! Assad manages to get full guard.
Jagr looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Assad looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jagr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jagr tries to free his leg and advance position but Assad is retaining full guard.

Assad is looking for a triangle but Jagr pushes his legs off easily.
Jagr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Assad lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jagr wants to stand and escape but Assad is having none of it.

Jagr had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Assad defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
We've been informed that Assad has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Jagr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Assad is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jagr pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Jagr has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Assad clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Assad tries to escape the position.
Assad rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Assad wants to control but Jagr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Assad makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Assad.
Jagr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Assad wants to sweep here but Jagr controlling him for the moment.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dustin Assad will probably get the nod.

Assad shoots for a takedown but Jagr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jagr has managed to clinch.

Jagr has picked Assad up - he's going for a ride! Jagr dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Assad trying to control but Jagr postures up.

Jagr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Assad with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Assad is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jagr wants to take a breather but Assad is having none of it.

Jagr perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Assad wants to get back to full guard.
Jagr trying to control the action but Assad is working from the bottom.
Jagr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jagr wants to pass the guard but Assad is defending well.
Assad wants to control but Jagr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jagr wants to free his trapped foot but Assad is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jagr landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jagr stops Assad from getting back to his feet.
Jagr lands with a punch from half guard.
Assad has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jagr is working away from the top position though.

Assad tries to get to full guard but Jagr has control of the leg.

Assad is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jagr pulls his head out easily.
Assad is looking for a sweep. Jagr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jagr has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Assad to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jagr is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Assad pulls down on the head and he's put Jagr to sleep! This one is all over!
