The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francis lands with a slapping head kick.
Longstreet throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Longstreet steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Francis. That one must have hurt.
Francis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Longstreet takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Francis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Longstreet takes a step back to recover.
Longstreet takes a kick to the side of the head.
Francis goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
That kick from Francis tenderised Longstreet's leg. Longstreet is trying to keep his angry face on.
Francis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Longstreet.
Francis slips a jab from Longstreet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Longstreet has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Francis looks to land a combination. Longstreet sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Francis plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

and Longstreet counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Francis!

Longstreet cracks Francis with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Longstreet immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Francis is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Longstreet!

Eric Longstreet decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
