PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marius Hercules (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Rizky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juan Rizky told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marius Hercules!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Juan Rizky!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizky looks for a takedown but Hercules sprawls well.
Hercules tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rizky manages to circle out of the way.
Rizky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rizky takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rizky looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Hercules keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rizky looks winded!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hercules moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Juan Rizky has been cut.
Rizky misses with a jab to the body
and Hercules counters with a one-two to the body.

Rizky is rocked!

Rizky walks into a jab.
Rizky is still on wobbly legs! Can Hercules finish him?
Rizky wants to clinch up but Hercules keeps it at a distance.
Hercules is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Rizky tries to clinch up
letting Hercules counter with a right hand.
Rizky doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hercules counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Marius Hercules has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Rizky.
Hercules feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rizkys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Rizky shoots and misses

and Hercules holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Nice body punch from Hercules - that landed with a thud.

Hercules pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rizky seems to have recovered his senses.
Hercules lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rizky circles away quickly and effectively.
Rizky unleashes a big counter combination but Hercules bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Juan Rizky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hercules lands a big right hand that sends Rizky crashing to the mat! Hercules stays standing though and waves Rizky back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hercules rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rizky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rizky changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hercules scores with a nice head shot.

Hercules lands a big right hand that sends Rizky crashing to the mat! Hercules stays standing though and waves Rizky back to his feet!
Marius Hercules is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hercules digs a good hook to Rizky's body.
Hercules walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Rizky drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Hercules swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Rizky's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
