Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilboogie Bur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takem Downem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wilboogie Bur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takem Downem!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downem throws a head kick that misses.
Bur attempts a counter takedown but Downem avoids it well and moves away.
A telegraphed right hand from Downem misses the target.

Downem misses with a wild body shot.
Bur looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Downem blocks the elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Downem misses with some punches.

Downem gets control of Bur's arms and successfully pulls guard. Downem will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bur wants to control from the top but Downem keeps moving.
Downem has control of Bur's left arm, preventing Bur from doing any damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Downem is on top in guard.

Downem stands up and waves to Bur to follow him.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Downem has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Downem misses with a two punch combination.
Bur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bur checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Downem manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bur on his heels. He'll look to pass Bur's guard now, I'm sure.
Bur wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Downem manages to pass to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Downem is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Takem Downem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Downem closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bur did well to prevent Downem getting side control.

Downem content to control rather than advance.

Downem stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Downem misses with a takedown attempt - Bur sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bur changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bur showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Downem.
Bur is looking to clinch.
Bur displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Downem throws out the jab.
Bur attempts a counter takedown but Downem avoids it well and moves away.
Bur has been working on his balance at Hard Knocks Training, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Downem.

Bur sets himself, and Downem steps forward looking for the clinch! Bur avoids it this time.

Bur drops down looking for a counter takedown but Downem sprawls and moves away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Downem is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bur's half guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bur scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Downem manages to mount him!

Downem tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Downem's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Downem gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Bur steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Downem.
Bur throws a head kick that half lands.

Downem avoids the head kick by Bur.
Bur goes for a double leg but Downem avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Downem continues to drive forward.

Bur gets tackled into the cage by Downem. Downem maintains the clinch.
Downem swings wildly with an uppercut but Bur uses good head movement to avoid it.
A frustrated look appears on Bur's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Downem is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Downem uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Downem looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bur is fending him off so far but Downem persists. Nope, Bur circles away and we're back to standing.
Downem throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Downem stuffs the takedown attempt from Bur. Bur gets slowly back to his feet.
Bur tries to clinch up but Downem circles away and keeps his distance.

Downem clinches with his opponent.
Bur has Downem pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Downem manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilboogie Bur. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Downem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bur misses with a wild combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bur misses with the combination.
Downem throws out a loose jab but Bur uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bur throws a right and a left that both miss.

Takem Downem showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Downem pulls guard effortlessly.
Bur has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Downem has Bur pulled in close to control his posture.
More stalling from Downem.
Bur throws a strike but Downem rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Downem gets to his feet. Bur looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bur.

Downem changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bur looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Downem works to advance to full mount. Bur defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bur regains half guard.
Downem is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Downem scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Downem takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Downem passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bur!
Takem Downem is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Takem Downem comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Downem has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
