The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cek wants to clinch up but Up keeps it at a distance.
Cek will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Up throws a combination that misses

and Cek counters with a nice double leg into side control. Up won't be happy with that.
Cek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Up keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cek cracks Up with a big right hand but Up just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Up manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Up trying to mount his opponent but Cek defends it.
Cek is controlling Up's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Up is keen to just control but Cek is a slippery customer.
Cek makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cek.
Up wants to control from the top but Cek keeps moving.

Up being controlled here momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cek had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Up is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cek Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Up's back instead.
Up is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Cek controlling from the back.
Cek looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Cek connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Up to escape the position.
Up trying to control the action but Cek just sinks the hooks in.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Up covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Up trying to control the position but Cek manages to sink in the hooks.
Cek really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Up.
Up trying to control the hands but Cek won't let him.
Up is really stuck here.
Up is covering up but some of the strikes from Cek are getting through and doing damage.
Despite being in a bad position, Up is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.

Cek lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Up tries to roll but Cek sticks to his back.
Cek doesn't have the hooks in and Up manages to turn into his guard.
Up makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cek is pulling down on Up's head to control his posture.
Cek looking to hit a scissor sweep but Up is one step ahead there.
Cek is working hard here to advance position.

Cek looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Up in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Up is stalling in the full guard.
Cek keeping moving, preventing Up from controlling successfully.
Up is looking to work some ground and pound but Cek has wrist control.
Up is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Up throwing strikes from guard but Cek blocks nicely.
Up must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Up trying to control the position from guard on top but Cek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cek bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Up's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakob Cek dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Up misses with a two punch combination.
Up swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Cek counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Up wants to improve his position but Cek is controlling well.
Up is staying active underneath Cek, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Up is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cek seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Up does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cek tries to pass to full mount but Up defends it.
Cek not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Cek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cek moves into full mount! Up won't be happy about that!
Cek trying to control but Up is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cek blocks Up's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Up keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cek controlling his opponent.
Up is desperately trying to improve his position but Cek has a good base and remains in mount.
Cek tries to control but Up wriggling away.
Cek postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Up in real trouble here! The ref calls for Up to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jakob Cek!
