And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davy Jones rushes James and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Davy Jones wants to break the clinch but can't.
James takes a shot to the head.

It looks like Tim James has been cut.
James is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Davy Jones lands a nice uppercut.
Davy Jones lands with a left to the head.
Davy Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
James tries to close the distance and clinch but Davy Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
James misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Davy Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. James doesn't seem bothered though.
Davy Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away.
James takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A head kick from James lands but Davy Jones takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davy Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Davy Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet.

James shoots and misses
and Davy Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Don Davy Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim James.
James looks winded!
Davy Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Davy Jones cracks James with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! James looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Davy Jones finish him?

James is rocked!
James avoids the body shot from Davy Jones.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can Davy Jones finish him?
James ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
James seems to have recovered his senses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Davy Jones throws a body punch but James moves out of range.
Don Davy Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
James slips under a jab from Davy Jones.
A looping hook to the body misses from Davy Jones. James does a little dance to reset his feet.
James walks into a jab.

That has opened up Tim James's cut even more.
Davy Jones misses with a wild body shot.

Davy Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The fighters circling - Davy Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A countering left hand to the body from James misses.
Davy Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
James wants to counter with a clinch but Davy Jones pushes him away.
Davy Jones cracks James's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! James slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Davy Jones can do further damage! This one is done, son!
