The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pitolu moves into the clinch.

Pitolu tries to circle away but Simic has him pinned against the cage.
Simic managing to block the knees to the body from Pitolu.
Pitolu wants to get back to striking at distance but Simic won't allow it.

Pitolu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Simic counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pitolu won't be happy with that.

Simic is trying to get an arm triangle but Pitolu is defending well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Simic is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pitolu has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Simic has hold of Pitolu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Pitolu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Simic cranks the arm and Pitolu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Pitolu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
