Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jako Day (ranked 3206 p4p, 454 weight class) and Sol Kwon (ranked 1863 p4p, 279 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sol Kwon!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Day avoids the body shot from Kwon.
A quick step to the side and Day tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A slapping leg kick lands for Day.
Day swinging wildly here.
Kwon avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Day throws a leg kick but Kwon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slow jab from Kwon misses its intended target.
Day showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kwon.
Day misses with a right hand

Kwon throws a series of punches but Day moves out of range.
Kwon darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Jako Day has been cut.
Day tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kwon was well out of range. Poor timing from Day.
Kwon cracks a nice hook into Day's ribs.
Day uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kwon.
Kwon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kwon throws out a loose jab but Day uses good head movement to avoid it.
Day throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kwon sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kwon swings for the body but Day moves out of range.
Day throwing a counter right hand but Kwon manages to avoid it.
Day looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Kwon scores with a shot to the body.
Day misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kwon loads up on a big right hand but Day slips the punch.
Day throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Day staying out of range there.
Day walks into a left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kwon misses with a straight right.
Day defending well as Kwon loads up on a big left hand.
Kwon slips a straight right by Day.
Kwon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Kwon.
Sol Kwon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kwon thuds a left hand into Day's body.
Kwon misses with a right hand
and Day counters with a two punch combo.
Kwon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Day finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Kwon cracks Day with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kwon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Day to stand back up!

Day is rocked!

Kwon lands with a shot to the body.
Oh Day is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kwon lands an uppercut, right on the button! Day tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
