The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Williams wants to finish this one by submission but Brown is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Williams.

Brown is fighting to break Williams's control of his arms but Williams is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brown walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Williams throws a strike from the bottom but Brown uses the opportunity to take his back.

Brown misses with an elbow to the head.
Brown biding his time, looking for the opening.

Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Brown really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Williams.

Brown is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Williams is defending well though. Brown let's go of the attempt for now.

Andrew Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Brown clinches up with Williams and pushes him back against the cage.
Brown is pressed up against the cage. Williams has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brown down to the mat. Brown avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Williams tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Williams to the ground. Williams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dave Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Brown.

Williams lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Williams looks to land a body kick but Brown moved away.

Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Brown controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself.

Brown has his feet on Williams's thighs here. He's pushed Williams off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Williams screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
