Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem misses with a wild combination.
Afa misses with a wild combination.
Afa throws a head kick that misses.
Afa shoots in but Overeem avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Overeem is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Afa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Overeem goes for a takedown in the clinch but Afa prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Afa is looking to break free of the clinch but Overeem has double underhooks.
Overeem jumps guard but Afa stands there with Overeem around his waist. Overeem gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Overeem blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Afa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Afa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Afa wants to control position but Overeem is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Afa here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
