Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boon looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ray takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ray throws a shot from downtown. Boon moves away and avoids it.
Ray misses with a double jab.

Boon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Boon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

John Boon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ray ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boon moves away.
Boon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Ray fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boon manages to avoid it.
Boon appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Boon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ray.

Ray throws a monster overhand right that drops Boon! Ray follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
