Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Hermano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toby Hastings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hastings has chosen Thank God I'm a Country Boy - John Denver as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Toby Hastings was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Piotr Hermano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Toby Hastings!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hastings looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hermano lands a nice shot to the body.
Hermano tries to bum rush Hastings with a series of wild strikes but Hastings uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hermano drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hermano slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hermano is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hastings looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
