Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reyes Bucanerro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reyes Bucanerro!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bucanerro tries to clinch up but Wallace circles away and keeps his distance.
Wallace tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bucanerro manages to circle out of the way.
Wallace looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Reyes Bucanerro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wallace enables Bucanerro to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wallace manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bucanerro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bucanerro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wallace's guard.

Bucanerro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bucanerro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wallace definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bucanerro is looking to work some ground and pound but Wallace has wrist control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Bucanerro rushes Wallace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bucanerro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bucanerro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bucanerro moves into the clinch successfully.
Wallace tries to stall but Bucanerro uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Bucanerro pulls Wallace in close to prevent any damage.

Bucanerro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bucanerro thows a huge punch but Wallace dodges it nicely.
Wallace tries to roll over but Bucanerro keeps him under control.
Wallace is staying active underneath Bucanerro, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wallace can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bucanerro controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bucanerro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wallace looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wallace has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bucanerro is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bucanerro tightens his grip and picks Wallace up, before dumping him to the ground. Wallace manages to land in guard.
Bucanerro not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bucanerro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wallace was covering up waiting for the punch and Bucanerro finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Reyes Bucanerro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bucanerro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
