Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darren McPunchface!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masaaki Kanagawa!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPunchface fakes the leg kick and cracks Kanagawa in the body.
McPunchface feints and then cracks Kanagawa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kanagawa down.
McPunchface throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kanagawa sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McPunchface takes a shot right to the bread basket.
McPunchface misses with a lunging right hand
and Kanagawa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Darren McPunchface seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPunchface misses with a right hand
letting Kanagawa counter with a right hand.
McPunchface looks to throw a body kick
and Kanagawa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kanagawa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McPunchface moves to clinch but Kanagawa breaks away
and Kanagawa counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kanagawa jabs McPunchface to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McPunchface throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kanagawa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kanagawa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McPunchface.
The fighters circling - McPunchface throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kanagawa lands with a nice body punch.
Kanagawa connects with a single shot there.

Kanagawa cracks McPunchface with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kanagawa has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning McPunchface to stand back up!


McPunchface is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanagawa with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Oh McPunchface is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kanagawa throws a body punch but McPunchface moves out of range.
McPunchface gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! McPunchface tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Kanagawa is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and McPunchface buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves McPunchface!! McPunchface is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Kanagawa throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Masaaki Kanagawa!
