Kernes comes to the cage accompanied by Reign Supreme - Persevere And Overcome. Jay Kernes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Quition Jaskon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quition Jaskon!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kernes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jaskon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jaskon looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kernes tries to clinch but Jaskon is having none of it.
Kernes lands a nice hook to Jaskon's body. Jaskon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kernes fails in his attempt to clinch.

Kernes takes the fight into the clinch.
Kernes throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Jaskon on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kernes breaks from the clinch.
Kernes is looking to clinch.
Kernes tries to clinch up but Jaskon circles away and keeps his distance.

Kernes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jaskon, pushing him back against the cage.

Kernes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jaskon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jaskon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kernes pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Kernes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kernes could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jaskon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kernes pinned against the cage. Kernes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jay Kernes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quition Jaskon.

Kernes misses with a series of wild punches.

Kernes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jaskon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Kernes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Jaskon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jaskon wants to take a breather but Kernes is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaskon stops Kernes from getting back to his feet.

Jaskon stands up and beckons Kernes to join him on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaskon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jaskon jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kernes manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Kernes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Kernes stops Jaskon from passing to mount.

Jaskon stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jaskon.
Kernes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jaskon swats him away and circles back towards the center.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kernes scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kernes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Jaskon counters with a shoot takedown. Kernes fights it but they end up in guard.
Jaskon wants to stand but Kernes is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jaskon kicks Kernes off and gets back to his feet.
Jaskon looks for a takedown but Kernes sprawls well.
Kernes darts in trying to clinch

and Jaskon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kernes!
Jaskon avoids the attempt from Kernes to control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jaskon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jaskon thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quition Jaskon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jaskon moves into the clinch.
Kernes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jaskon has him pressed against the cage.
Kernes prevents the takedown attempt.
Jaskon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kernes fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jaskon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kernes, up you get!

Jaskon is landing with some decent strikes but Kernes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jaskon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jaskon lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jaskon is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Jaskon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kernes has worked his arm free - good work by Kernes!

Jaskon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kernes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jaskon stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kernes punishes Jaskon's body with a nice straight punch.
Kernes tries a low kick but Jaskon avoids it.
Kernes is looking to wear down Jaskon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Jaskon tries for a takedown but Kernes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jaskon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kernes sprawls well initially but Jaskon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Quition Jaskon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jaskon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
