Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Hayford (ranked 519 p4p, 68 weight class) and Charles Ng (ranked 834 p4p, 103 weight class). Ng comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wedlock - I'm The Fuck You Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Isaac Hayford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Charles Ng!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ng tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hayford swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ng pushes Hayford up against the cage in a clinch.
Hayford tries a body shot but Ng blocks it.
Hayford has a couple of punches blocked by Ng.

Ng breaks from the clinch.
Ng lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hayford backs up against the cage.
Ng tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hayford paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hayford takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ng looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ng checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hayford avoids the head kick by Ng.
Hayford shoots in for a takedown but Ng shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ng goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Ng drives through and clinches with Hayford against the cage.
Hayford is pressed up against the cage. Ng has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hayford down to the mat. Hayford avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ng has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hayford is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Ng steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Hayford.
Ng pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hayford is out of range and Ng settles back down.
Ng throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hayford appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Ng tries to land a front kick but Hayford steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hayford throws an overhand right that lands on Ng's shoulder, as Ng tries to avoid the shot.
Hayford misses with a takedown attempt - Ng sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ng throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hayford throws a nice looking combination but Ng bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ng thuds a left hand into Hayford's body.
Ng stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hayford.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ng moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Hayford has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Hayford fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ng avoids it really well and circles away.

and Hayford counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Hayford shoots in and bounces Ng off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ng has his foot on Hayford's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hayford works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hayford is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Ng is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Ng has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ng there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hayford jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ng walks away with a smile on his face. Hayford gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hayford swings for the body but Ng moves out of range.
Ng throws a big counter head kick but Hayford avoids it with no problem.

Ng breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hayford lunges at Ng with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ng's hand.
A head kick misses from Ng.
Hayford swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ng tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hayford manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ng lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hayford, as that shot connected.

Isaac Hayford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Ng.
Hayford has Ng pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ng manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Ng throws a half hearted mid kick.

Hayford circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ng is looking to clinch but Hayford is avoiding it.
Ng lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hayford circles away quickly and effectively.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hayford or perhaps it was just good defense by Ng, which made it look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ng lands with a kick to the temple. Hayford shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A punch lands to the side of Ng 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Charles Ng is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ng fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hayford, pushing him back against the cage.
Hayford swings wildly with an uppercut but Ng uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ng decides to pull guard.

Hayford drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ng dives on top into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hayford is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hayford lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Ng wants to control but Hayford is having none of it.
Hayford fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Hayford is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ng can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Isaac Hayford.
I think Hayford has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
