Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grove tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tix paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tix waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Grove.
Grove looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Grove keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Tix fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grove, pushing him back against the cage.
Grove tries for a takedown. No joy.
Grove stalling the fight.
Tix wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Grove breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
No luck for Tix with that takedown attempt.

Tix tries to bum rush Grove with a series of wild strikes but Grove uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Grove closes the distance and clinches.

Grove gets control of Tix's arms and successfully pulls guard. Grove will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tix stands up out of Grove's guard for a moment - Grove manages to land a nice upkick.

Grove throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tix's waist but Tix gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grove off to one side.
Clay Tix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tix attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Nice takedown defense from Tix. No joy for Grove on that attempt.

and Grove counters with a good, hard body kick but Tix shrugs it off.

Tix's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tix lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grove circles away quickly and effectively.
Grove lands a head kick. Tix smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Tix throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Grove looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tix is fending him off so far but Grove persists. Nope, Tix circles away and we're back to standing.

Tix pushes Grove away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Grove gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tix is trying to escape the position but Grove is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grove wants to control but Tix is keeping him busy.

I would just about give that final round to Kendall Grove.
I've got Grove winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
