Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Craig, pushing him back against the cage.
Gomi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gomi prevents a body shot from Craig.

Craig drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gomi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Craig has Gomi in his guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Craig holds on and takes a little breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gomi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Craig has managed to free his arm - good work.
Craig tries to roll over but Gomi keeps him under control.
Gomi passes into side control, despite Craig's attempt to control the position.

Gomi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

My spies in Cozad MMA Tokyo inform me that Gomi has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Craig looking for a sweep but Gomi has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Oh Craig is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Craig knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gomi on the ground.
Craig is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gomi has taken his back.
Gomi is landing big shots and Craig is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!
