The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maxell jumps guard and drags Greene to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Maxell tries for a takedown but Greene sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Greene connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Maxell to the floor! Greene dives in looking for the finish!
Maxell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Greene is working away from the top position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Maxell is refusing to be controlled, as Greene sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maxell closes the distance and clinches up with Greene, looking for a takedown. Maxell pushes Greene against the cage but Greene circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Greene pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Maxell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Greene lands a big head kick that sends Maxell to the canvas! Greene follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
