Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alejandro Ruiz is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz gets caught flat footed, as Ventura shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ruiz is trying to keep Ventura in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ventura sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ruiz 's guard.
Ruiz tries to roll over but Ventura keeps him under control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Ventura throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ruiz 's waist but Ruiz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ventura off to one side.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ventura connects with a nice short shot to Ruiz 's temple.
