Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Reid Tackett!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tackett misses the shot to the body.
Bates tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Tackett manages to circle out of the way.
Bates steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tackett.
Tackett misses with a wild body shot.
Bates wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Tackett lands with a good body shot.
Tackett with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Tackett misses the body punch
and Bates counters by clinching up.
Tackett tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bates's elbow.
Tackett wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tackett tries to circle away but Bates has him pinned against the cage.
Bates lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tackett backwards.
Tackett tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tackett misses with a punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bates lands a nice uppercut.
Bates lands a body shot in the clinch.

Tackett misses with a punch to the body.
Bates lands a hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bates is working Tackett over against the cage.
Tackett looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bates lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Tackett is rocked!

Bates dips a shoulder and cracks Tackett with a mighty uppercut! Tackett falls back against the cage and Bates unloads with a barrage of strikes! Tackett is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Bates screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joel Bates!
