The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akerman misses with a series of wild punches.
Martinez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Akerman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Akerman takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Joran Akerman has been cut.

Martinez takes the fight into the clinch.
Martinez scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A head punch on the inside from Akerman fails to land.
Akerman jumps guard but Martinez stands there with Akerman around his waist. Akerman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Martinez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Akerman is breathing heavily.

Akerman is rocked!
Martinez lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Akerman or not.
Oh Akerman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A quick uppercut on the inside from Martinez.

Martinez unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Akerman! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Martinez is unloading with more strikes now! Akerman drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
