Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Blade (ranked 1424 p4p, 205 weight class) and Skeng Man (ranked 1579 p4p, 237 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Skeng Man was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blade moves into range and clinches up with Man.
Man is working for takedown but Blade is calmly controlling the position for now.
Blade misses with a hook from the clinch.
Blade gets underhooks to prevent Man's takedown attempt.
Still in the clinch, Blade scores with a nice short uppercut.
Man tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jake Blade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skeng Man.

Man manages to pull guard.

Blade decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Man, up you get!
The fighters circling - Blade throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Man goes for a double leg but Blade avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blade continues to drive forward.

Man drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Blade gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Blade lands a nice shot to the body.
Blade tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Man's elbow.

Man tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Blade creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blade lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Man to his knees! Blade keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
