The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weston looks to land a combination but Abbott avoids it well.
Weston cracks Abbott with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Weston tries a head kick but it misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Weston throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Abbott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Weston.

Abbott fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Weston sprawls well initially but Abbott persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Weston throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Weston blocking the ground and pound attempt from Abbott.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abbott throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Weston tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Abbott moves nicely into side control.
Abbott looks up at the clock and then as Weston takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Abbott smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Abbott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Weston keeps working.

Weston is looking for a sweep.

It looks like Brendan Weston has been cut.

A big shot lands for Abbott! That's hurt Weston! Will he recover? Abbott fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
