Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Lennon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 24 - 1, fighting out of New York, Aiden Preston!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preston is looking to slow Lennon down with leg kicks.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Preston, right into the meat.
Lennon misses the jab.
Preston tries to clinch but Lennon moves out of range.
Preston throws a leg kick but Lennon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Lennon lunges at Preston with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Preston's hand.
Lennon throws a body punch but Preston moves out of range.
Preston bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lennon's head.
Preston has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lennon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Preston.
Preston wants to land a leg kick but Lennon is out of range.
Lennon throws a poor cross that misses
and Preston counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A slow jab from Preston misses its intended target.
Preston takes a swing at Lennon's ribcage but misses.
Lennon moves into range and connects with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Preston bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Preston circles away from the clinch attempt
and Preston counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Preston explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Lennon loads up on a big right hand but Preston slips the punch.
Lennon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Lennon is looking for a counter combo.
Preston takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
John Lennon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lennon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Preston sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lennon throws a shot to the body.
Lennon lands with a hook. Preston tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Lennon has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lennon ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Preston lands a nice looking body kick.
Lennon moves in looking to clinch but Preston pushes him off.

Lennon closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Preston crashing to the mat! Preston uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Preston lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lennon backwards.
Lennon digs a right hand underneath Preston's ribcage. Preston let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Lennon swings away with an uppercut that misses.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Preston throws a body kick that misses.
Lennon seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Lennon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Preston looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Preston is looking to chop away at Lennon's legs.
Lennon cracks Preston with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Preston.
A quick step to the side and Lennon tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Lennon counters with a straight right hand.

Lennon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Preston throws a nice looking combination but Lennon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Preston throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Preston makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Preston lands with an uppercut that bounces Lennon off the ropes and back into range.

Preston throws a shot from downtown. Lennon moves away and avoids it.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
