The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hansson doesn't manage to clinch there - Freeman circles away.

Freeman's coach down at CT + BJJ & Wrestling & Boxing & MT SPARRING GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Freeman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Filip Hansson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Freeman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oh Hansson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hansson closes the distance but Freeman moves to the side
and Freeman counters with a left to the body.
Freeman lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Hansson up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Freeman from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Hansson's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

After winning the bout, Nate Freeman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
