PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalis Matrovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubujan Babajun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bubujan Babajun!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Babajun throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Matrovsky tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Babajun is in Matrovsky's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Babajun might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Matrovsky could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bubujan Babajun dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Babajun shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Matrovsky is trying to defend but Babajun finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bubujan Babajun showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Matrovsky seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Babajun shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Matrovsky is backing up but Babajun catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Matrovsky covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Babajun Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bubujan Babajun!
