PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Suresho Ukko (ranked 3156 p4p, 371 weight class) and Baba Yaga (ranked 9760 p4p, 785 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ukko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Who That Be - Rich Chigga. Yaga is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bring The Pain - Method Man. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ukko slips a jab from Yaga.
Yaga tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ukko was well out of range. Poor timing from Yaga.
Ukko is looking to counter punch.
Ukko lands a nice looking body shot.
Yaga dodges the punch combination from Ukko.

Yaga forces Ukko back against the cage and clinches.
Ukko wants a takedown but no success here.
Yaga is trying to drag Ukko to the mat but Ukko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ukko gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Yaga.
Yaga is looking to take this one to the mat.
Suresho Ukko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baba Yaga.

Ukko gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Still in half guard, Ukko seems content to control.
Yaga flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Yaga is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ukko looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ukko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ukko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Well, if Ukko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Yaga gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Yaga tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Ukko is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Yaga buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Yaga!! Yaga is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Ukko throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
