Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Woody!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woody tries a head kick but it misses.

Woody feints and as Reed raises his hands in defense, Woody changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reed is looking to stand back up but Woody counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Reed.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed wants to get back to full guard.
Woody wants to control but Reed is keeping him busy.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Woody in particular looking to stall.
Reed is refusing to be controlled, as Woody sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reed tries to get to full guard but Woody has control of the leg.
Woody passes into side control, despite Reed's attempt to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Woody throwing strikes but Reed manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Reed tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Woody wants to control but Reed postures up.
Woody is looking to regain half guard here but Reed keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woody is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Reed off and has taken his back!

Woody doesn't have the hooks in and Reed manages to turn into his guard.

Reed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Reed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Reed with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Woody is trying to keep Reed in close.
Reed postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Woody wants to sweep here but Reed controlling him for the moment.

Woody escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Reed throws a strike but Woody rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Reed wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Woody sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reed's guard.
Woody wants to stand up but Reed has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Woody is looking to pass Reed's guard but actually Reed recovers to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Woody wants to stand and escape but instead Reed has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Reed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Woody works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Reed wants to stand but Woody has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Reed with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reed working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Woody's head.
Reed works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Woody has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Reed is on him like a limpet, forcing Woody back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brandon Woody will probably get the nod.

Reed works Woody's body with a nice hook.
Reed misses with an attempted mid kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Reed enables Woody to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Reed manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Reed is trying to control the position but Woody postures up.
Woody is looking to stand up but Reed won't let him.
Reed wants to hit a switch here but Woody passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Reed there!
Reed wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Woody.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Woody looking to secure an arm triangle but Reed defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Woody throwing strikes but Reed bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
Reed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Woody on the ground.
Woody keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom.
Reed wants to stand but Woody has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Reed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Woody has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reed has managed to get both his arms back between Woody's legs - danger averted.
Reed in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Woody is on top in guard.


Reed looking for a guillotine here but Woody defends easily.

Woody is looking to stand up but Reed won't let him.
Woody trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Woody content to stall in guard here.

Woody avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Reed being controlled here, momentarily.
Reed keeping moving, preventing Woody from controlling successfully.
Reed trying to control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Woody accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Woody is looking to work some ground and pound but Reed has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Woody changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Woody has control of an arm but Reed manages to advance to Woody's back!

Reed has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Woody is trying to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reed avoiding Woody 's attempts to control his hands.
Woody turns into Reed and is now in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brandon Woody showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Woody is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Reed gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Woody breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Reed gets a takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reed connects with a nice short shot to Woody's temple.

Woody trying to hold on to Reed's head to control him but Reed postures up.
Brandon Woody has got the better of the ground game so far.
Woody is trying to stand.

Reed escapes and gets back to his feet.

Woody gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Reed scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Woody manages to mount him!
Woody is looking to take Reed's back but instead Reed gets back to half guard. Nice work.
Woody prevents Reed from improving his position.
Woody has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Reed gets back to half guard.
Reed avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Woody.
Woody wants to take a breather but Reed is having none of it.
Reed looks like he's trying to stand up.
Woody wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reed keeps working.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woody passes to side control.
Reed is trying to get back to half guard.
Reed is trying to escape the position but Woody is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Woody thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Woody wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reed keeps working.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Reed's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Brandon Woody.
I've got Woody winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
