Silva's entrance music is Kid Ink - ROUNDS ft. Jeremih & Fabulous. A fine choice. Blanks has chosen wasp - wild child as his entrance music. Billy Blanks will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 wins, 7 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of The Island, Billy Blanks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Blanks tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blanks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cain Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blanks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Blanks tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blanks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blanks is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Blanks throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Silva tries for a takedown but Blanks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blanks fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Blanks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Silva walks into a stiff left hand from Blanks.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Blanks as he avoids it easily.

Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Blanks is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blanks is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blanks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Blanks is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Silva has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Blanks is trying to improve his position.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blanks, who protects the arm well.

Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Blanks is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Silva is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blanks has escaped the position, nice work there.
Blanks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Silva has hold of Blanks's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Blanks seems comfortable defending it but Silva has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Blanks is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Blanks is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Silva couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Cain Silva!
Cain Silva seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Billy Blanks was interviewed post fight and said 'Where I am today, is where my mind and will put me, where I am tomorrow is where my mind will put me.'.
