Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heavy Guy (ranked 1060 p4p, 129 weight class) and James Owen (ranked 1547 p4p, 191 weight class). James Owen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy throws a big shot that misses.
Owen throws a hook to the side of Guy's head but Guy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A slow jab from Guy misses its intended target.
Guy connects with a nice looking jab.
Owen misses with a few strikes there.
Owen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Guy slips under a jab.
Guy looks to score with a jab to the body but Owen is just out of range.
Owen misses with a hook. Guy ducked under it nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Guy misses the target.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Owen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Guy on the side of the head.

Owen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Owen feints and then cracks Guy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Guy down.

and Owen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

A jab from Owen finds it's way through Guy's defenses.

Guy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Owen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Guy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guy lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like James Owen has been cut.

Owen fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Owen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Owen looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Guy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Guy throws a looping overhand right but Owen ducks down to avoid it.
Owen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Guy at a distance.
Guy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Owen moves out of range as Guy strikes.
Owen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Guy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Owen can pounce on him.
Guy throws an overhand right that lands on Owen's shoulder, as Owen tries to avoid the shot.
Owen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Guy walks into a left hand.

Owen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Owen lands a head shot.
Owen lands a nice hook to Guy's body. Guy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nice defenses there by Owen.
Owen misses with a jab to the body
and Guy counters with a stiff right hand.
Guy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Guy swings away with a body shot that misses
and Guy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Owen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Guy.

Guy seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Guy closes the distance and clinches.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Owen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Owen is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Guy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Owen appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Guy punishes Owen's body with a nice straight punch.
Guy moves away from the strike by Owen.
Owen sizes up Guy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Owen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Guy.
Good leg kick by Owen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Owen throws the kick towards the body but Guy avoids it.
Owen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Guy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Guy is looking to counter punch.
Good work by Guy as he checks the leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Owen dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Owen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Guy throws a body punch but Owen moves out of range.
Owen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guy manages to avoid it.
Guy jabs Owen right on the nose. Owen blinks but takes it well.
Owen looks to score with a jab to the body but Guy is just out of range.
Guy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Owen.
Owen misses with a low kick as Guy jumps back.
Owen seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Guy shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Owen is backing up but Guy catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Owen covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Guy Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Heavy Guy!
Heavy Guy decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
