The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gotti Jr to score with a decent uppercut.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nelson or perhaps it was just good defense by Gotti Jr, which made it look bad.
Gotti Jr feints the counter takedown.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gotti Jr as he avoids it easily.
Rico Gotti Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gotti Jr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nelson counters with a three punch combo that has Gotti Jr backing up. Gotti Jr nods at Nelson to acknowledge the strikes.

Gotti Jr shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nelson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nelson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
