The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes throws out a loose jab but Clark uses good head movement to avoid it.
Clark closes the distance but Mendes moves to the side
enabling Mendes to counter with a crisp jab.
Mendes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Clark. Clark circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mendes throws a big shot that misses.
Clark misses with a jab to the body

and Mendes counters with a crisp right hand that drops Clark! Mendes lets Clark back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Clark is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters circling - Mendes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Clark is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendes finish him?
Clark avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Clark is looking for the big counter here.
Mendes throws a jab but it's blocked by Clark.
Clark doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mendes counters with a huge right that knocks Clark out cold! Mendes is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
