PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tahgi Assad (ranked 8910 p4p, 610 weight class) and Lalama Amana (ranked 9129 p4p, 618 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amana swinging wildly here.
Amana thuds a left hand into Assad's body.

Amana rushes Assad and presses him up against the cage.
Amana lands a left hand.
Amana scores with a shoulder strike.
Assad tries for a takedown but Amana manages to get underhooks.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Amana.
Amana lands a shot to the body.
Amana gets through Assad's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Assad throws a punch but it's blocked by Amana.
Assad tries to break free but Amana pushes him back against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Amana.
Amana lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Amana stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Amana breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lalama Amana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amana scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've been hearing reports that Assad has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Assad is breathing heavily.
Amana jabs at Assad's body.
Amana jabs Assad to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Amana scores with a decent looking hook.
Amana swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Amana sends Assad crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Amana is motioning to the referee to let Assad up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

and Amana scores with a counter punch that sends Assad to the canvas! Amana smells blood - he's punishing Assad with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Assad has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
