Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dre Battle (ranked 8556 p4p, 743 weight class) and Orlando EoS (ranked 25630 p4p, 812 weight class). Dre Battle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Orlando EoS's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dre Battle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Orlando EoS!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
EoS takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Battle misses with a wild body shot.
EoS is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
EoS moves out of range as Battle strikes.
EoS throws a counter combo.
Battle connects with a right hand. EoS shakes it off.
Battle swings and misses with a shot to the body

and EoS counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
EoS thows a huge punch but Battle dodges it nicely.
Battle pushes EoS off looking to stand but EoS dives back in and keeps control.
Battle's coaches at Convicted Doghouse have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Battle trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
EoS content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Battle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Battle tries to get out of the position.
EoS prevents Battle from standing back up.
EoS looks to land a strike but Battle avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Battle wants to stand but EoS is controlling the position.
EoS postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
EoS throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
EoS is looking to stand up but Battle won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Battle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of EoS's head.


It looks like Orlando EoS has been cut.
Battle misses with a right hand

and EoS counters with a nice double leg into side control. Battle won't be happy with that.
Battle is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but EoS has just dragged him back down to the mat.
EoS throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Battle works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
EoS thows a huge punch but Battle dodges it nicely.
EoS is trying to control. Battle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
EoS misses with a head shot. Battle uses the momentum to regain guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
EoS prevents Battle from getting back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as EoS accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Battle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst EoS is controlling him.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Battle throws a lazy uppercut

and EoS counters with a takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Battle managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by EoS.
EoS prevents Battle from escaping the position.
The ground and pound from EoS seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Battle is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, EoS asserts his dominance and retains side control.
EoS throws an elbow but Battle slips to the side and avoids it well.
Battle is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
EoS looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Battle is avoiding damage well.
Battle pushes EoS away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, EoS gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
EoS working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Battle is looking to work his way out of this bad position but EoS is controlling him well.
EoS trying to control the position but Battle is working away.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Battle cracks EoS with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
EoS tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Battle swivels and escapes.
Dre Battle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
EoS avoids the body shot from Battle.
Battle lands with a hook. EoS tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Battle throws a lazy right hand but EoS sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Battle connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
EoS avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dre Battle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circle momentarily. Battle darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


EoS is rocked!
EoS walks straight into a right hand from Battle - that's dropped him! Battle jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save EoS from any more punishment! EoS complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dre Battle!
