PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gee Gee Allen (ranked 2382 p4p, 358 weight class) and Wayne Carter (ranked 4237 p4p, 563 weight class). Carter has chosen Lil'Wayne - I'm Me as his entrance music. Wayne Carter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen blocks the body kick.
Allen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Carter walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Allen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Carter throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Allen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carter throws a big shot that misses.
A jab lands there for Carter.
Carter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Carter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Allen scores with a jab. Carter acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.

Allen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Allen throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Allen looks to land a right hand but Carter moved out of range.
Allen scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wayne Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allen blocks a jab.
Carter misses with a body shot.

Allen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Carter is rocked!
Carter throws a lazy right hand but Allen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Allen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As Carter looks to move away, Allen throws a big counter combo but Carter just gets out of the way.
Carter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Carter misses with a series of wild punches.
Carter misses with a double jab.
Carter throws a predictable looking body shot
and Allen counters with a nice uppercut.
Carter is still on wobbly legs! Can Allen finish him?
Allen measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Carter! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
