Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Savage (ranked 6415 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabiano Gracie (ranked 4326 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch but Savage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Savage was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Savage saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Savage seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Savage manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Savage stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
It appears Savage was looking to counter with a kick there.
Savage stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Savage wants it to stay on the feet.
Dave Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabiano Gracie.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Savage but Savage pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie tries to clinch up but Savage circles away and keeps his distance.
Savage went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Gracie shoots in but Savage avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Savage paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A little feinted left hand from Savage on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Gracie tries to clinch but Savage is having none of it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Savage shows good takedown defense.
Savage feinted there with a counter leg kick.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Savage on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Gracie is looking to clinch.
Gracie wants to clinch up but Savage keeps it at a distance.
Savage stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Savage.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie goes for a double leg but Savage avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Savage continues to drive forward.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie clinches up against the cage.
Savage trying to land knees to the body.
Savage stalling in the clinch but Gracie improves position.
Savage goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Savage working hard to break the clinch.

A head punch on the inside from Savage fails to land.
Gracie wants the takedown. Savage is fighting it off but Gracie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Savage's guard against the cage.

Savage is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gracie is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Savage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Savage dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Savage did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
Savage won't allow Gracie to pass to mount.
Gracie performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Savage is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Gracie has latched onto it... Big trouble! Gracie pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Savage is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Gracie!
